Roaring Fork Civics Bee

Join us for the first Greater RFV Regional Civics Bee®. The first step towards the National Civics Bee®.

Our community’s middle school students are stepping up to share their ideas, test their civics knowledge, and explore how young people can make a difference.

We invite the Roaring Fork Valley community to come watch, encourage these students, and celebrate the next generation of engaged citizens.

Join us at the Carbondale Middle School

starting at 6:00 p.m. on April 30, 2026.

When you attend, you will:

  • Support local middle school students as they share their ideas

  • See civics learning come to life on stage

Bring your friends, families, and colleagues. Your presence helps show students that their voices and ideas matter. Bee®.

ABOUT THE BEE

Youthentity & the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce are partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026.

WHY CIVICS?

We are participating in the National Civics Bee because we believe that informed and active citizens make for a strong country, a strong economy, and a strong workforce, and that our continued prosperity depends on the strength of all three. Through the Bee, we are promoting greater civic knowledge in Colorado and celebrating our civic pride.
