Colorado Economic Zone Contribution Project
(EZ Contribution Project)
The Colorado Economic Zone Contribution Project (EZ Contribution Project) offers a unique opportunity for businesses and individuals to support Youthentity’s workforce development programs while benefiting from significant Colorado State tax incentives.
Through our State of Colorado designation, you can take up to a 25% tax credit on your state income tax return when you make a monetary gift to Youthentity. This allows a large part of your donation to come back to you in a dollar for dollar tax credit. The tax credit is in addition to standard charitable donation tax deductions and credits, significantly reducing the cost of your gift. In-kind and Stock gifts are eligible for 12.5% tax credit.
Examples:
Donations made to Youthentity are eligible for a 25% Colorado state income tax credit. Stock gifts and in-kind contributions may receive 12.5% credit.
How It Works:
Minimum Donation: A minimum contribution of $250 is required to qualify for the tax credit.
Approval Process: Youthentity must issue a contribution certification, which you will need when filing your state taxes.
Annual Cap: The total amount of tax credits available statewide is limited to $100,000 each year.
This credit is in addition to the standard charitable deduction on federal taxes, further maximizing your giving power.
Your support directly funds career training and industry certification programs, helping high school students graduate with job-ready skills such as construction and culinary/hospitality management.

Who Is NOT Eligible?
Certain donors and donation types are not eligible for the Colorado Economic Zone Contribution Project (EZ Contribution Project) tax credit, including:
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): Contributions made through a Donor-Advised Fund do not qualify for the EZ tax credit. The tax benefit is already received when the funds are contributed to the DAF.
Private Foundations: Grants or donations from private foundations typically do not qualify unless explicitly approved by the state.
Employer-Matching Gifts: If an employer matches an employee’s donation, only the portion given by the original donor may be eligible.
Third-Party Payments: Contributions made on behalf of another person or entity (e.g., passing through funds from a third party) are ineligible.
