Alumni Profile: Blake Lockard
Blake Lockard started working at Youthentity - then known as Computers For Kids - when he was still in high school. Interested in web development and design, he was able to explore the field by managing CFK's website and maintaining its content. Blake was able to receive high school credits for his work at Computers For Kids, and after graduating from Glenwood Springs High School in 2012 he attended Colorado Mountain College's Graphic Design & New Media program, while also interning at Bluetent Marketing. After receiving his associates degree from CMC, Blake started his career assisting with marketing and design at Anderson Ranch. Eventually he moved to the Front Range to work at BLKDG Responsive Web Design before making the jump into launching his own web design and development shop.
Now living in Denver's Five Points neighborhood, Blake's future goals include growing his client list and eventually becoming financially independent through investments and smart money management. "I don't know exactly what the next five years will bring, but I'm looking into ways to create revenue through investment so that eventually I can be more flexible and focus on art and other interests."
Congratulations on making the leap to small business ownership, Blake - we're glad that Youthentity could help pave the way!
